WASHINGTON, D.C., June 16, 2010—The Glover Park Group’s growing Energy I Sustainability practice was awarded the Silver SABRE Award for ‘Best Industrial and Manufacturing’ campaign by The Holmes Report. The firm was also awarded the Silver Award Bulldog for ‘Best Green Campaign’ from the Bulldog Awards. Both awards are for the firm’s work with GE Energy.

The SABRE Awards recognize the smart strategy and cutting-edge creativity that have become hallmarks of the Glover Park Group’s work. The Bulldog Awards distinguish annually the best media relations campaigns nationwide.

“I am extremely proud of our team’s work and I am glad it has been recognized by these distinguished organizations,” said Jason Miner, Managing Director and the head of the firm’s Energy and Sustainability practice. “As energy and environmental issues continue to top the national agenda, and the public affairs landscape becomes increasingly crowded, awards like this demonstrate the Glover Park Group’s ability to stay at the forefront of effectively communicating issues in this space.”

In addition to the Silver SABRE -winning campaign entitled “Protect and Grow Clean Energy Jobs: Strengthen the Renewable Electricity Standard,” the Glover Park Group was a finalist in the ‘not-for-profit’ category for its work with a Packard Foundation project, the Commission on Climate and Tropical Forests. The Glover Park Group also received three certificates of excellence for campaigns with GE Energy, the Alliance for Climate Protection, and the Packard Foundation.

“Our focus, as always, is on providing creative, high-quality, innovative ways to service our clients, and with the rise of social media, that creativity is needed more than ever,” said Chip Smith, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Glover Park Group. “The Glover Park Group’s skill at breaking through the clutter to deliver clear, targeted, comprehensive messaging allows our clients to participate in a variety of spaces without losing sight of their end goals.”

The campaigns utilized the firm’s integrated approach to public affairs by combining a multi-faceted earned media effort at the state and national level with public policy shaping methods like leveraging high-profile coalitions for both GE Energy and the Packard Foundation.

"We're excited that GPG's aggressive work around climate change and energy policy has been recognized in this way," said GPG Vice President Ryan Cunningham, who led both the GE Energy and Packard Foundation teams. “Our success with these campaigns was the result of a great internal team and a strong partnership with our clients."

The SABRE Awards competition received more than 1,600 entries with winners announced at a ceremony held May 11 in New York City. For more information about The Holmes Report, visit .
