The Glover Park Group Appoints Gigi Georges as Partner

Seasoned Veteran in Political Strategy and Education Policy
WASHINGTON, D.C. - December 1, 2005 - The Glover Park Group, a leading strategic communications company located in Washington and New York, announced today that Gigi Georges has been appointed Partner. Georges will continue to work alongside Partner Howard Wolfson to oversee client service activities in the New York office. Georges has served as president of this office since 2003.

During her tenure at Glover Park Group, Georges has been a leader in integrated campaigns, including the fight against the West Side Stadium and the United Federation of Teachers' public efforts to secure a new contract for New York City's public school teachers.
Prior to joining the firm, Georges was the Communications Director for the New York City Department of Education, where she was a key strategist in structuring a reform agenda for the nation's largest public school system. Additionally, Georges served as the State Director for U.S. Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) and as a Special Assistant to the President during the Clinton Administration.
A graduate of Wellesley College and Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School, Georges was recently named one of the "50 Most Powerful Women in New York" by the New York Post. She serves on the Advisory Board of Harvard University's Nieman Foundation, and sits on the Board of Advisors for the Wilson School's Regional Policy Institute.
