Top Industry Professionals Join Expanding Public Affairs, Legislative and Policy, Research & Integrated Strategies Practices

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Glover Park Group, a leading strategic communications company, today announced five major new appointments to its Public Affairs, Legislative and Policy, Research & Integrated Strategies practices.

Julie Rochman joins The Glover Park Group as a Senior Vice President in the Public Affairs division, where she will lead a range of major corporate and issue-advocacy accounts. With more than two decades of public affairs and government affairs experience, Rochman previously served as Senior Vice President at the American Insurance Association and as Vice President of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Among other achievements, she has successfully managed national campaigns focused on financial services regulation, property protection and recovery systems, highway safety, civil litigation and national economic security.

Beth Tritter joins The Glover Park Group as a Vice President for Legislative Affairs. In this role, she will help oversee legislative strategy, coalition management, Member education and issue advocacy efforts, working closely with a range of international clients. A Washington veteran, Tritter previously served as Legislative Director for Congresswoman Nita Lowey (NY-18). In that capacity she oversaw Lowey’s domestic and foreign policy agenda, with a particular focus on foreign affairs, defense, terrorism and trade.

Susan Kannel joins as a Vice President in the Policy, Research & Integrated Strategies practice where she will help manage a range of qualitative and quantitative research projects. Kannel was previously Vice President at Lake Research Partners where she led a range of projects exploring social and political issues including health and healthcare, education, employment and government assistance. Her clients included foundations, non-profit organizations and universities.

Jason Miner and Tracy Sefl have been appointed as Vice Presidents in the Public Affairs practice. Over the past ten years, Miner has provided strategic communications counsel to corporations, political campaigns and non-profit organizations, also serving in senior positions at the Democratic National Committee and the Kerry/Edwards campaign. Sefl previously advised a range of progressive groups including those focused on federal judicial nominees and women’s issues. During the 2004 presidential campaign, she served as an advisor to the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee and was a senior member of the Kerry-Edwards war room.
