Gregg Rothschild Joins The Glover Park Group As Managing Director

WASHINGTON, D.C. - March 20, 2009 - The Glover Park Group announced that Gregg Rothschild, a former senior aide in both the House of Representatives and the Senate has joined the firm as a Managing Director in its Government Relations practice.

"Gregg is a widely respected legislative professional who is well known as a trusted advisor to key lawmakers in both Houses of Congress," said Chip Smith, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Glover Park Group." Most recently, Gregg was the Chief Counsel and Deputy Chief of Staff to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce and a principal aide to Chairman John D. Dingell. Â Gregg advised the Chairman and the Democratic Members of the Committee on the full range of matters that come before the Committee including health care, energy, telecommunications and media issues, food and drug safety, the environment, and consumer protection.

Prior to his most recent service in the House, Gregg worked at Verizon Communications where he served as Vice President and Policy Counsel, Federal Government Relations.

Before joining Verizon, Gregg worked on Capitol Hill for nearly nine years, first, as a Legislative Assistant and then Legislative Director to Senator John F. Kerry, then as a Senior Counsel for the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, where he was the senior advisor to Democratic Members of the Committee on all telecommunications and media issues.

Prior to his work on Capitol Hill, Gregg was an associate for two law firms in downtown D.C.: Patton Boggs, where he was a member of the Business Law Practice Group and Ginsburg, Feldman & Bress, where he was a member of the Telecommunications Practice Group.
