Dagny Scott Joins The Glover Park Group as Managing Director
March 14, 2011 |

WASHINGTON, D.C. — March 14, 2011 — The Glover Park Group (GPG) announced that Dagny Scott, one of the nation’s leading marketing and advertising strategists, has joined The Glover Park Group as a managing director in the firm’s advocacy, reputation management and marketing division.
Scott most recently served as Director of Cultural and Strategic Insights for Crispin Porter Bogusky (CP+B), an international advertising agency. In her four years with CP+B, Scott led strategic development for global brands such as Microsoft, Domino’s Pizza, American Express, Nike and other leading national brands.
“Dagny’s skills and experience are core to our offering of strategic messaging,” said Amy Phee, who runs GPG’s marketing division. “It is important to remember that while the mediums in which we operate and the audiences we target are always changing, what hasn’t changed is the need for a good story—one that is simple, resonate and memorable. This is the grail in our business, and Dagny brings us closer to it.”
Prior to joining CP+B, Scott was the Director of Insights for Radar Communications and previously spent seven years in the publishing industry as a writer and editor, including as an author of Runner’s World Complete Book of Women’s Running, Editor in Chief of Women’s Sports & Fitness and as contributing editor and writer to Self and Runner’s World.
“I look forward to joining the GPG team. I was attracted to the complexity of their client challenges and the issues they engage with, and also sold on their commitment to their strategic and creative offerings,” said Scott. “How people interact with brands and the manner in which they influence public policy issues is changing rapidly. I’m excited to be working with GPG as they find new ways to leverage and evolve these increasingly dynamic interactions.”
“Dagny will work closely with our marketing team to craft compelling strategic insights to anchor our campaigns,” said Carter Eskew, Founding Partner and Managing Director. “Her experience and deep understanding of how to develop effective, breakthrough campaigns are unparalleled. We welcome her expertise to our team.”
Scott started her career as the News Editor of The Santa Fe New Mexican. She earned her Master’s in Journalism from Northwestern University.
