Her counsel to a range of international corporations, non-profits and associations focuses on integrated reputation and advocacy campaigns that often include public opinion research, advertising and government relations in addition to messaging and earned media strategies.
Esser’s portfolio has included leading the messaging and outreach strategy for a technology company on an investment transaction of more than $8 billion with its partners, investment companies owned by the Government of Abu Dhabi; spearheading an awareness-raising campaign for a major global microfinance organization and developing a strategy to build awareness and support among U.S. opinion elites for free and fair parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan.
Esser joined The Glover Park Group from Robinson, Lerer & Montgomery, a strategic communications consultancy, where she developed international corporate communications strategies including legal and policy issues, corporate social responsibility issues, crisis communications and transactions for AOL International and AOL, Inc.
Previously, Esser served as a Global Public Policy Advisor to the ExxonMobil Corporation covering issues ranging from taxation to trade-related matters. She began her career with the Centre International des Enterprises à Succursale, an association located in Paris, France.
