Jonah Goldman
Vice President
Jonah H Goldman is a Vice President of Public Affairs at the Glover Park Group. He has extensive experience in developing, managing and implementing national issue and advocacy campaigns and is sought after for his strategic vision in developing legislative, communications and field programs.
Jonah is a national expert on voting and elections. From 2004-2008, he led Election Protection, the progressive community’s unified effort to protect the voices of traditionally disenfranchised voters through an unprecedented coalition of over 130 organizations – by far, the largest voting rights campaign in history. In addition to managing more than 10,000 legal volunteers in 45 localities across the nation, Jonah directed the operation of 866-OUR-VOTE, a national voter services hotline which, since its inception, has received over 500,000 calls from voters across the country, including over 240,000 calls handled by trained operators in 25 call centers during the 2008 election cycle. Jonah also coordinated the development of www.866ourvote.org, a clearinghouse for state specific voting information and a resource on the developing issues of election administration in the 2008 cycle. The site was visited by more than 300,000 individuals in the six weeks leading up to the election. He has been a leader in the effort to reform election administration at the local, state and national level.
Jonah is a frequent commentator on legal and civil rights issues confronting American democracy. He has testified before Congress and other legislative bodies on numerous occasions, and is a frequent commentator on democracy issues in the press including CNN, NBC, MSNBC, Fox, CBS, The New York Times, USA Today, Newsweek, The L.A. Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and the Associated Press. He has published extensively on how to improve our electoral process and has served as an Adjunct Professor at the Georgetown University Law Center concentrating on voting rights.
