Jill Lesser
Managing Director
Jill Lesser is a Managing Director at The Glover Park Group, specializing in government relations, public affairs and strategic policy. While at The Glover Park Group, Ms. Lesser has focused primarily on copyright, consumer protection, and telecommunications policy issues for clients in the media industry, with a particular focus on work for companies in the Internet industry.
During the past year, Lesser has helped advise numerous clients on best practices in the Internet advertising space, helping to develop messaging and government relations campaigns on new forms of Internet advertising. She has a long history in advising clients on Internet privacy issues and frequently advises Glover Park Group clients in this area. She also has several years experience in the area of copyright policy and assisted in the development of a new messaging template for a large media association.
Prior to joining The Glover Park Group, Ms. Lesser was a Senior Vice President and Senior Policy Advisor for America Online, Inc. and for Time Warner, Inc. (after AOL’s merger with Time Warner). There she led the domestic policy initiatives for the company for several years, testifying many times on Capitol Hill on consumer protection and telecommunications policy issues. Prior to her work at AOL, Ms. Lesser did public interest advocacy, promoting the preservation of the First Amendment in the development of new communications technologies.
Ms. Lesser graduated with Honors from the University of Michigan and received her Law Degree from Boston University. She resides in Washington, DC with her family.
