Jason Boxt
Vice President
Jason Boxt is a Vice President in the Policy, Research and Integrated Strategies Division of The Glover Park Group in the Washington, D.C. office. Boxt brings nearly ten years of public opinion research, message development and issue advocacy expertise to The Glover Park Group.
Prior to joining The Glover Park Group, Boxt was the Director of National Advocacy at the Center for U.S. Global Engagement, and before that was the National Deputy Political Director at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). At both the Center and at AIPAC, Boxt provided political guidance and helped cultivate and grow “grass tops” advocacy, encouraging citizen activists to become involved in the political process by engaging and challenging candidates for public office to more prominently and specifically speak out in support of those issues for which each organization advocated.
Boxt started his public opinion research career at Global Strategy Group, first in its New York and then in its Washington, D.C. office. As a Vice President, Senior Associate and Intern at GSG, Boxt worked with hundreds of clients – political, non-profit and corporate – studying public attitudes and voter behavior. While working for both political and non-political clients, Boxt learned how to apply basic and advanced research principles, as well as an urgency unique to political research, to better understand what affects consumers’ decisions and motivates their actions.
Boxt joined GSG in 2000 after a brief stint as a Research Analyst at Roper Starch Worldwide, supervising the publication of Roper Reports, a syndicated survey covering dozens of industries throughout the year.
A native of South Carolina, Boxt received his B.A. in International Studies at the University of South Carolina, before going on to receive an M.A. in Political Science from Columbia University. He lives in Rockville, MD with his wife and two daughters.
