Molly Watkins is a Vice President in the Glover Park Group’s New York office, specializing in public affairs. At GPG, she focuses primarily on political and policy-oriented work with clients such as the United Federation of Teachers, Milano the New School for Management and Urban Policy and several political campaigns including Andrew Cuomo for Attorney General, David Paterson for Lieutenant Governor, and Melinda Katz for New York City Comptroller.

Watkins most recently served as the Director of Communications for the New York City Campaign Finance Board, considered by many government reform advocates to be a model campaign finance program for the nation. In addition to strategic communications responsibilities, she advised the board members on legislative recommendations and strategy, initiated a significant expansion of the board’s public disclosure mandate, and ran the mandatory debate program for candidates for citywide office.

Previously, Watkins was a publicist at New York City’s premier classical music venue, Carnegie Hall, where she promoted the hall’s various cultural and educational programs. Prior to that, she ran the programming and publicity efforts for the nation’s oldest public lecture series, the Ford Hall Forum, in Boston. Watkins also worked in her native Seattle as an editor, producer and director at the city’s CBS affiliate, KIRO.

Watkins graduated from Washington State University and lives in Manhattan.
